Banten Provincial Government will make Anyer lighthouse as a tourist icon in the area of Anyer, Carita, as a special attraction to foreign and domestic tourists visiting the area. Bantam 2010 target can be visited around 27 million tourists, both foreign and domestic. Anyer lighthouse building is located in Mossel Bay Beach, about 38 km from the town of Serang. The present lighthouse building was established in 1885 during King William III, as recorded in an inscription found above the entrance tower.
The lighthouse tower is a replacement building ever before are destroyed in 1883 due to the eruption of Krakatoa.
