Banten Provincial Government will make Anyer lighthouse as a tourist icon in the area of Anyer, Carita, as a special attraction to foreign and domestic tourists visiting the area. "We're planning the lighthouse, located in the Village Cikoneng, or at Anyer Beach was designated a tourist icon, because it has a history that can be sold especially to foreign tourists," said Head of Culture and Tourism (Disbudpar) Bantam, Egy Djanuiswati in Serang, Friday (23/04/2010).

According Egy, around the lighthouse will also be packed with displays of art typical of Banten on holidays or special days, such as games or attractions angklung Debus.
Supporting the arts performances, also presented a variety of foods typical of Banten in every hotel and restaurant in the vicinity, in the form of culinary tourism, such as skewers of grilled fish or rice.

Bantam 2010 target can be visited around 27 million tourists, both foreign and domestic. Anyer lighthouse building is located in Mossel Bay Beach, about 38 km from the town of Serang. The present lighthouse building was established in 1885 during King William III, as recorded in an inscription found above the entrance tower.
